Anyone else had to re-do the surgery because the screw didn't stay in place??

Yep! It dropped the ball of my foot and I'm having reconstructive surgery next Monday

That happens when we do too much walking when the surgeon said not to my screw was attached to the bone and he countersunk it, but I overdid it walking and a screw backed out a little not enough to be concerned he said, but he mentioned stay off of it

Crikey!!! Is this what can happen? At what stage can this happen until? Like time frame after operation? I'm a week past surgery and have just been weight bearing for about an hour and have now got serious new pains which I've not had before so a bit worried

Yes. Just had the redo 2 weeks ago. 7 months after surgery, two screws broke from the plate along the area of the big toe

I've just had a revision done yesterday the screw had fractured and moved and the bone set in the wrong place.

I had a non fusion of the bone and had to have the surgery redone within 3 months. New surgery included more hardware and a bone graph from my heel. I was non weight bearing a total of 6 months

Mine partially fused so they are removing the hardware on the 5th. I wish you all the best recovery!

Yes, I just had revision on March 9th. Screw was completely loose and bone never healed. Frustrating.

Okay hold up... I have a bump (two actually) where the incisions are... I thought it was just part of the healing process. Could that be the screws moving??
