Anyone regret their surgery?

Anyone regret their surgery? If so, why and what kind of bunion surgery did you get? I’ve been contemplating surgery for 10+ years but still don’t know where to start. I plan to see a podiatrist soon but would love to hear from people who’ve been in my shoes (slaps knee lol). I want to know things like what was the deciding factor to go for surgery? How you found your surgeon? Reality vs expectation before, during, and after surgery? Foot functionality after surgery? Things — feeling curious.
