Anyone regretting your bunion surgery ? I have mine coming up and just want to get a perspective from people. What do you feel ? Better that I got it done and I'm painfree and can lead a quality life or Why the heck I got this surgery done ?

No I never felt pain or discomfort. Best decision I have done. I had minimal invasive done both feet.

I'm 11 months post op. The first couple weeks were rough, I had random occasional pain while healing, but NOTHING like the burn of the bunion itself. I'm healed now and so very happy I had it done. So happy I'm getting my other foot done soon.

Took a year for mine to fully heal and be pain free but its worth it. Second foot surgery failed so on the list for revision ☹️.

Yes I regret it, 9 months later, still in pain, the pin and bone has moved so waiting to see another surgeon for further surgery

I’m 5 months out and satisfied with my results. I still have tightness and some discomfort but I can walk a lot longer and the discomfort is nothing like it was before surgery. I’m still icing twice a day and I wear a toe separator because I have numbness in my toes still but as long as I can walk a good 5 miles for exercise I’m happy🥰

i have had both mine done painful for a couple of weeks with the pins in but so glad i have had them done now can walk so much better

I’m five weeks post op today and can say the pain is finally gone. I still have major swelling and stiffness but I’m doing physical therapy to help with movements. I can start walking on it in 2 weeks hopefully! It’s definitely a marathon not a sprint, but for me I’m hoping it will be worth it in the end!

I'm 3 weeks still in pain keeps me up at night. Bunion seems to be gone but I didn't expect this much pain if ur bunion is tolerable I would weigh pros and cons

Ok what are the options? Aside from surgery? Can these be shrunk? I’m ok now it’s summer. But come winter I can’t wear sandals in the snow.

Anonymous member I did minimal invasive and they said they put screws in the bone and I can move my foot and toes fine. I honestly never had any pain or discomfort. It was very easy!

Ugh, a year... thats what I'm thinking mine would be like, my feet are so jacked up. But I work in a hospital and I have to be on them & moving for 16 hrs at a time, twice a week! I can't take a whole year off. I guess its going to have to wait until I can get into an IT job.

can’t remember the exact name but I’ve screws in toe and centre of my foot . Pain I can’t remember but it was a while

Anonymous member I’m not entirely sure of the correct terminology for the procedures since I honestly went in completely blind, which i wish i did differently! I got 2 screws in my big toe and two in my pinky toe. I had a bunion and a Taylor’s bunion that were far past any other option than surgery for help with pain since I’m on my feet for like 12 hours a day 5 days a week 😥 I’m not going to lie, the first two weeks i was asking myself “why did i do this, how am i going to handle this, ect” but now that I’ve actually given it the time to heal im feeling a lot more optimistic. I also stay in constant contact with my doctor over text! Feel free to dm me any questions u have!! It gets better with time!

bless you I bet , I fell over badly and bent my foot . Surgeon removed cast , supposedly numbed me and tried to straighten it 😩😫 nearly hit the ceiling
