Bit of a silly question but if your surgery was during winter how did you elevate your foot during the night with the duvet on & still keep warm ?

I used a heated blanket on my body with my foot elevated and sticking out at first. It was heavily bandaged so it didn’t get super cold

My husband made a frame out of metal like a cage and the blankets went over the top

Get a wedge (sold on Amazon) to put yr foot on and then the duvet loosely over that. It’s trial and error.

I used a squishmallow to put my foot on and then put the covers over last. Or even a squishmallow on top of another cushion, as long as the squishmallow is the top layer, your foot can sink into it and it gives you a bit of squish either side too xx

I wore overly large grippy socks - two on that foot. I was just really slow snd gentle putting them on.

Im having a boot on for 8 weeks as have Over active bladder so up a few times at night & Dr said a boot would be safer incase I bump my toe x
