Would you say minimally invasive surgery would work on a buinion like mine? Iv been considering going to my gp to enquire about surgery for some time. It doesn't give me terrible pain but I do feel it's worsening, getting more prominent and it really rubs becomes sore/some throbbing occasionally. I can feel the screws when I touch my foot and I can also feel them at times with weather changes. I also had a plantar plate repair at the same time and have irritation in the joint where those screws are. I'm scheduled to get them removed on Tuesday, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Standing on my tip toe is still far from what he looked like before. I started walking after two weeks and went back to the gym at 8 weeks. I have seen a reputable podiatrist whom has reccommend all the typical methods such as show inserts and strapping etc. Im 33 now and it continues to worsen. Every podiatrist i have seen has said that tailor bunion surgery is not very common and generally not advised because of the small bone structure on that side of the foot. Could anyone provide me any information at all in regards to surgical options of this 6th toe i am growing. I cant even shower without it hurting because im unable to wear shoes. And im struggling to find much information on google regarding recovery or procedure options on tailor bunions. I appreciate anyones advice or opinions. Thanks so much!
