Does anyone's big toe ever bend again after surgery? Sharon Amalia Hi everyone! Thanks so much for this group. I've been following along for a long time and have gotten so many good tips from all of you. Well, it's finally my turn. After going to many doctors over the years and specifically 3 good surgeons this year, I picked the one and the date. I'm scheduled for a Lapidus bunionectomy this Friday, 8/28 on my left foot. Eventually I'd like to do both but it's the left that causes actual prevention of activities through injuries. With my PT homework, I have restored about 70 percent mobility in my toe, so that is coming along nicely. At my second PT session yesterday, we are working on balance and strengthening my ankle muscles. Since I can balance on my one leg with no problem on a regular floor, we moved the single leg balancing to on top of a foam mat. Also other exercises on a wobb Carmon Watson Hello all!
