Eight days post-op and just had my stitches out.

Eight days post-op and just had my stitches out. Weight bearing as tolerated in the post-op shoe. Pain is totally manageable. Weened off Rx pain meds by day three. Elevating and icing frequently. So far so good

Congrats! Looks perfect. Did you go immediately after 8 days to unwrapped and in a shoe with a few straps? Does it hurt the side of your toe? I’m day 8 and the heavy boot feels like I’m toting a boulder 😆

no still wrapped. Steri strips, gauze and ace bandage until Sunday. Still in the post op shoe until next visit. Hate it! It’s killing my heel.

I loved my day zero-day 6 postop boot in comparison. It was easy to walk in and lightweight. I hope your next shoe is lighter than my boot. Cheers to a quick recovery

I appreciate your assessment from photos alone but I can assure you the pain pre-op was significant due to the biomechanics of the rest of my foot.

post op shoe for the next three weeks then sneakers. Plan to use Saucony Echelon wide, possibly with arch support inserts as they have lots of volume in the forefoot.
