Good morning, 2 weeks and 2 days since foot fusion and bunion surgery. I’m walking in a boot from heel to toe , stitches are out and in zero pain and zero swelling. Life is good. I have full flexibility in my ankle and can wiggle my toes no problem and can take a shower . My surgeon is amazing !!! Was very impressed on how well I healed . In addition to the usual toe mobility and balancing exercises, I did heel to toe walking on a straight line, zig zag lateral crab walks with a resistance band around my legs and monster walks with a resistance band. I actually broke a sweat. Felt good to actually work out! Shared post MotivatedEagle5343 I’ve had multiple surgeries in the past year, including Lapidus bunionectomy and osteotomies of toes but my toes keep shifting. I do have metatarsas adductus. I met with a specialist today (not my initial surgeon) who is now recommending to fuse my big toe and pin toes 2&3. Has anyone else with metatarsus adductus had this and did fusing the big toe prevent the toes from shifting? No photo description available. Shared post Arnell Ernst I had bunion surgery 3 years ago. My pain and recovery had been tough. Finally went back to the doctor to discover my big toe joint is full of arthritis. We've tried anti-inflammatories, injections and ortho inserts. Nothing has helped enough. This had affected my daily life and hobbies. My next option is a big toe fusion. If you've had this done, can you share your outcome?
