Help needed in deciding.

Help needed in deciding. My surgeon suggests shaving bone growth on the side of my bunion and doing a big toe release during surgery. (I had chevron MIS last year and I already have a bunion 5 months later). He says that this time around, there would be no down time, only one week in the post op shoe and sport right after one week. My questions for those who had this done: -Is this 1 week timeframe realistic for starting sports and aerobics? -How swollen is the foot afterwards and does it prevent me from wearing normal shoes for some time afterwards, or would I need wide sneakers for a few months? -How painful is the aftermath? -How succesful is a big toe release in improving range of movement? Who has had this done? (my MIS chevron surgery was October 1st and my big toe has lost a lot of range of motion).

Same surgery date as yours and it’s looking like I’ll be going back in for big toe release as well

Bunion surgery was on October 1st. I feel like the bunion is already creeping back. Anyone else in the same boat? One hour after I remove the toe spacer, my big toe lies directly on the adjacent toe and slightly behind (not shown here).

Mine is also reappearing. The doctor did warn me it would probably come back at least somewhat when I am middle aged.
