Hey! My feet are a bundle of problems. I have severe bunions for my age plus Morton’s Neuroma. Both deformities are in both feet! The doctor has said I can have surgery for the bunions (woo) In 8-12 weeks. With the Morton’s neruma, my journey so far has been 2 lots of steroid injections which have been innefective and so and I am booked in for radio frequency as the next course of action. I am waiting on that appointment letter. A horrible thought I had last night was when I get surgury for the bunions, my feet are going to be wrapped up tight in bandages. What if they are too tight and press on that nerve for the neuromas? The pain is triggered now when I wear shoes only slightly narrow. So bandaged up all cramped with no space to breath, the thought of it makes me cringe. Has anyone please experienced this?

I had a tailors bunion surgery a few years ago. I just asked not to have the dressing tight due to my mn. No issues. The surgery did flare my plantar fasciatis but it settled down

thanks for the response! Have you had much done with your MN? I will request the same, it only popped in my head last night and how tight on the foot that dressing will be ..

only conservative tx for mn. Don't want to risk surgery.

Yeh fair enough 🙂 MN normally cause me the MOt pain but most recently it’s the bunions. Really can’t risk them getting bigger

I had neuromas. The cortisone shots didn't help. I got custom orthotics and mostly wear birks, Uggs and tennis shoes. I switched off pickleball for hiking boots which is when the neuromas hurt. I don't think I have noticed them in five years. Surgery is iffy and the nerve can pop out in another spot. Researh in the medical journals about surgery for neuromas. I didn't like the odds.
