Holy Moly !!! 3 weeks out and this pin is sticking out I don’t get it removed until the end of September . I have to keep it covered with thick bandaids so I don’t snag it on anything . I was told to just leave it. There is no pain. All and all I’m doing pretty good. I get pain if I do to much then I rest and elevate it. I’m in a surgical walking shoe the boot was so uncomfortable. I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon. I did noticed today I got some intense zingers in m Michele Carey Came to say, GET THESE. So comfortable and both straps are adjustable. Edit to add, I was in a heel shoe, then a flat surgical shoe. Once I was cleared, I was told I could wear these. I brought a few options with me to my appointment lol. My surgery was June 9. I was in these and sneakers at less than four weeks maybe! Thursday will be 9 weeks post op for me. I had an appt today and my surgeon cleared me to slowly resume normal daily activities. He said I can resume exercising (low impact - elliptical/stationary bike), swim, walk barefoot, get pedicures. I am (obviously) not cleared to jump or run. He set my next appt for mid November and told me I don’t need to be seen before unless something happens. He told me it will be 6-8 months before I don’t notice my foot anymore.
