How long did you have to wait after right foot (driving foot) osteotomy bunionectomy to drive?

Guys, I know it's crazy but I drove with my left foot after 3 days and I completely wouldn't recommend it!

For my right foot, 8 wks as I was NWB for 8 wks

Right foot lapidus and did not drive for 9 weeks. My surgeon said no driving until I was completely free of the boot and comfortable. It’s also an insurance and liability issue if you have an accident.

I am 5 weeks post op and I am nowhere near being able to drive yet

Right foot Lapidus bunionectomy with 2nd toe shortening & fusion. NWB for 7 weeks, splint, cast, boot. Couldn’t drive for 4 months.

I drove about 2 weeks after with a surgical shoe. I would have preferred not to, but didn’t have much of a choice. My doctor said it was ok.

If its your left foot and you have an automatic is it not possible 2 to 3 weeks

I'm 6 weeks out just weight bearing.... Don't feel ready yet!!

Glad someone asked, not sure I am going to want to hear the answer, lol. Surgery yesterday on right foot….

I waited 8 weeks

I'm getting a similar procedure to that.. distal metatarsal and akin osteotomy this Thursday. My doctor said I could drive around 5-6 weeks.
