i have a shoe sterilizer called steri-shoe, i wash my socks in hot water with bleach.

I suppose that walking around the house in socks is a bad idea. I may have spores everywhere I've walked.

Laser definitely seems to be the way to be sure the fungus is gone on the toe, although I wonder if spores are all over my house, since I walk around wearing socks.

Are the small lasers on Amazon strong enough to kill the fungus? The price range for these lasers is about $19.00 to $190.00.

The ad for steri-shoe on Amazon says steri-shoe kills bacteria but it does not say it kills fungus.

i'm not seeing the steri-shoe on amazon. the ones that i saw were much lower in price and are not the same thing. if you scroll lower you can see in the Q&A that it says that sterishoe does kill fungus.

could be. i wear my flip flops that have arch supports because i think that i have plantar fasciitis. i even wear them on walks, because wearing shoes creates trauma for the toenails. i only wear athletic shoes when i go to zumba. then i sterilize the shoe and bleach the socks in hot water. it's better to let the toenails have air circulating than be all confined wearing socks.

I suppose so. However I never got it although fir many years I lived in a hose with people who did. I think if you clean floors often and using good dedinfectants you'll be fine 🙂 x

imo i think your immune system is what prevented you from getting it. my husband never got it in the 27 years that we've been together. and he never got covid from me either. i think that speaks to him having a strong immune system.

my podiatrist says Lysol spray kills the fungus that creates athletes foot and nail fungus and to treat the sheets, floors, socks and shoes.

it's a multi decades long infection. i'm 76 so my circulation is a bit slower, so those are two strikes against me. i'm motivated. and i'm retired so i have the time.

did you have fungus in all your nails? It’s hard to tell in the photo since your nails look so good! I’m sorry you’ve battled this so long. I’m 1.5 years into it and only have 2 infected nails and I’m exhausted. I’m also nursing so I can’t take anything prescription. Glad you’ve found something that’s working!

be sure to dip your nail clippers in rubbing alcohol between toes or you'll reinfect others.

yes for sure! I actually just have separate clippers for my other toes for that reason!
