I had surgery on Aug 14th. I had my right foot surgery in Jan. And now my left foot, I had hardware removal, MIS and apparently hammertoe surgery done. Pain level is moderate. The hammertoe pin is uncomfortable but hopefully won’t need to keep it in long according to the dr. I feel weaker this time and trying to do exercises in bed to get stronger. Has anyone else had hammertoe surgery and pin that felt uncomfortable? Not sure how long my recovery is going to be. Blessings to all with foot surgery.

, although I never had any hammer toes fixed.. I just wanted to ask.. you have an incredibly cool neon green bandage. Did you ask for that colour or did they give that to you automatically? Wishing you all the best for a steady and strong recovery.
They gave me a choice between the neon green and pink. Picked the neon green because I have a shirt the same color plus it brightens up the day.
Surgery Aug 12, My hammertoe was fixed with an internal Stryker smart toe, no pins showing, sorry. Guess there are many ways to solve this problem. We’ll see what happens with all these foreign objects inside my foot. 🦶
that’s great! Not fan of the pin but oh well just need it healed now.
i went to a podiatrist last wk... his options: #1) remove hammertoe #2) break a couple of bones, put screws in... i get the idea from this page that pins are preferable to screws
my pin is the one from my toe but the screws are what they usually put in the foot. Not sure the same thing.
