I have a specific inquiry. I had the minimally invasive bunion surgery Feb 26, 2026 on my right foot. Prior to that I wore Dr Martens unless it was warm enough for sandals, then it was Birkenstocks. Since my surgery I have only been able to wear one pair of trainers (Brooks wide width, don’t know the model) and can still comfortably wear my Birks. Summer is waning now and I’m thinking ahead for non sandal weather. My hallux valgus isn’t very severe, but I’ve had pain for several years. At first, it only hurt occasionally, but over the past 1.5–2 years, the pain has become almost constant. When my big toe is in hyperextension or flexion, it hurts quite a lot, so running, walking and training can be painful.
