Maybe look at fitville or orthocomfoot brands. Not as well made as orthofeet but pretty comfortable. I also use custom orthotics.

I have bunions and hallux rigidus on both feet.
I have bunions and hallux rigidus on both feet. That makes me need a very large toebox for a wide and sensitive forefoot but the rest of my foot is just a medium. I'm a hiker and it's a very hard for me to find a comfortable hiking boot. I've tried Keens, Merrells, Altra, I even tried Hanwag, which advertises itself as the bunion shoe. Does anyone have any recommendations? Oh, I also tried ortho feet and that one wasn't comfortable either.

Topo and Altra. The Olympus line is stiff soled and rockered. Olympus 6 shoe is good for hiking; I thought the Olympus boot fit too tightly. Topo Ultraventure (shoe) is on the stiffer side and not as cushioned. I am not familiar with whether topo has hiking boots but they're a good option for foot shaped shoes.

Topo Atmos is my go-to sneaker. Topo traverse is what I currently use for hiking. It's not waterproof, which I need for an upcoming hiking trip. Unfortunately the rest of Topos hikers are too narrow in the toe. I'll look into the Olympus, thanks.

Anonymous memberI don't know that you'll like the Olympus boot so just make sure it's easily returnable. There was a suggestion to size up, but that did not work for me. Left too much material that sharply bent into my foot. I just felt the forefoot was too snug. I gave up on finding hiking boots. But I'm writing down those Topos to try sometimes, so thank you!

Have a look at Topo. Not sure if they do walking shies but I've completed LDWA walks in their trainers

Yes, I love Topo but they don't have a waterproof hiker that is wide enough for my forefoot.
