I'm just wondering what everyone does with their recovery boot after they are done with it? I hate to just throw it in the trash. My surgery is on Sept 4th and the PLAN is “ Minimally invasive right distal metatarsal osteotomy with bunion correction possible soft tissue release possible Akin phalangeal osteotomy right foot, cross roads, Mini bunion, Synthes headless compression screws, Mini c-arm, 75 min.” (Straight from mychart) RECOVERY I have a desk job and am taking off the Susan Miller I had surgery yesterday and am in a heel walking shoe that I need to wear for 2 weeks until my check up. Only walking for 5 mins per hour for 2 weeks. I was told to buy Hoka trainers but when I showed him he said leather like tennis trainers are better. But he said they needed to be raised at the back and front slightly when he said about the Hoka ones. I’ll wear the Hoka ones after anyway but has anyone got any recommendations for straight after the heel shoe, in leather th Joan Lindenmuth Hi bunion buddies! I am having hardware removal and MIS surgery tomorrow and dr says I will be able to walk with a boot right away. My question is for those who had the same surgery, How do you do that without a wheelchair right after surgery and getting into the house from the car? We have one step from to get into the house. Thanks in advance. Kim Turner Hello I'm two weeks post this operation, and the 1nd toe is really floating, I've got a drop foot and its rotated inwards. I've been put into a air cast today but struggling hugely with the ankle pain because of the drop foot. Has anyone else had this.... im a bit worried with these issues, if they'll right themselves or not.
