I’ve had bunions on both feet for years. The left one is worse and as long as I wore soft,stretchy, shoes it wasn’t too bad. I just could not wear any hard/stiff shoes, at least not for long! Now, I’m having pain on the top of my left foot…. Not in my toe or on the bunion, particularly. I’ve been to an orthopedic PA and he said that it’s attributed to the bunion. He basically said he could refer me to the surgeon for a fusion. Gave me a prednisone pack which did help. But pain returned after a few weeks. Tylenol and anti-inflammatory meds help temporarily. I’m wondering if anyone else has had pain on the top of their foot and was it from the bunion? Any shoe touching the top of my foot is uncomfortable at a minimum. Going to a surgeon/podiatrist this week for a 2nd opinion. Thanks for any experience you have had! See less

I’ve only been on 0.5 mg (very low dose) estrogen for a week, and there is definitely some improvement.
I am pain free since being on HRT. And walking 20.000 steps a day. Mine sure was from perimenopause
