I’ve just had quite extensive forefoot surgery – big toe (1st MTPJ) fusion and correction/fusion of toes 2–4 with pins in. I’m only a couple of days post-op and honestly the pain in my toes is excruciating at times, especially the pressure/throbbing feeling. I’m home keeping it elevated as much as possible, they said can I heel walk with crutches but can’t put my foot down right now. The pins and the sensation in my toes and forefoot is really intense.
