The pain that you’re experiencing on the balls of your feet are not commonly caused by a Tailor’s Bunion. Looking at the photo that you included, it seems that you are not distributing weight throughout the entire foot and toes and likely are applying too much pressure at the ball of your foot. This becomes compounded by the ground being cement and potentially wearing shoes that do not offer a good absorption and weight distribution. If you’ve tried inserts and other types of footwear, the only other option is to work on the feet themselves, so that better distribution of forces can occur with pain relief. This is my specialty, and if you are looking for some support with this feel free too PM me.

I was recently diagnosed with a Tailor’s bunion on my left foot, however I also have pain in the ball and heel of my left foot, and occasionally in the ball of my right foot. I was fitted for work boots and I’m including some of the details from the fitting as well. I’ve tried all sorts of inserts, cheap, expensive, middle of the road, orthopedic surgeon recommended, etc. I’ve mainly tried insoles for standing all day and ones for high arches. The orthopedic surgeon said the tailors bunion is causing my issues, but I feel like there’s not as much pain in that one specific area now as there is in the ball and heel of that foot. What else can I try in the meantime until I can get in to see another doctor or something similar? I have to stand on concrete for 10 hours a day, in steel toe boots for work and I’m really struggling to make it through the week, my feet recover over the weekend, and then we start all over again on Monday night
