I went in for an ingrown toenail procedure today and was able to ask what kind of surgery I was having for my bunions. It’s a double osteotomy. Does anyone know the recovery time for a procedure like this?

I had a chevron osteotomy and an akin osteotomy. I was non weight bearing for 17 days, heel weight bearing for 4-6 weeks (can’t remember), and out of work for 9 weeks. But it took a long long long time for me to feel “recovered.” At least a year. I have a lot of issues in that foot now, but that’s just me.
what kind of issues ?
Pain all the time and it feels like there’s a hard lump under my foot, around where that pad under the big toe is.
Ouch, that means they will break your big toe and realign it.
