In my previous post I mentioned that I used Diagnostic Static Evaluation to determine if and how I could increase ROM in ankle dorsiflexion using manual release. When determining if and where I can use manual release for pain relief, I use a technique called Diagnostic Motion Evaluation. It allows me to determine if a structural restrictive connective tissue is a contributing factor to their pain. Especially when their pain is linked to motion.
