Is there such a thing as a big toe joint replacement?

Is there such a thing as a big toe joint replacement? I have been dealing with chronic pain for years as a result of botched bunionectomy. The botched surgery left me with horrible sesamoiditis, which eventually led to a sesamoidectomy (can’t recall at the moment whether it was tibial or medial, but it did nothing for the ball of foot pain). I have very little hope, but always hoping that there will be medical advances for foot surgery. The bottom of my foot protrudes so much that most toes don’t touch the ground and all the pressure just hits the one area. The onset of cooler weather and humidity always makes it worse so today just sucks in general.

By all means find a podiatrist that specializes in biomechanics... you should be able to get some relief

I wish there was a foot replacement surgery we could get done. I'm ready to chop mine off with what's wrong with them. Walking on stubs sounds ok to me.
