Is this bad enough for surgery?? No photo description available. Shared post Ashley Ann Gantner Had my post-op appointment (week + 2 days) from my Minimally Invasive Surgery Bunionectomy. I was sent home from the hospital with bandages (ace-fabric wrap) and no boot. I have been using a knee scooter to get around. Today, the best thing happened during my post-op!!!! I. Got. To. ITCH. My. Foot. 😂 I *suppose* (said sarcastically) seeing my unwrapped foot was pretty cool too 🤪 Actually, seeing my foot was absolutely awesome! Doc said it looks beautiful and sutures will come out the week after Thanksgiving. I was 'lightly' bandaged back up (considering when they unwrapped my foot the first time it was 3 of the fabric ace-type bandages, an entire roll of cotton wrap and more) and given a boot. I was told I don't have to wear the boot all the time but that I can start wearing it to walk around. Any tips/tricks/suggestions about the boot life and 'learning to walk'? Hurts to go from 'relaxed' foot (how it's bandaged) to 'walking' foot (flat footed/90 degree). **PLEASE NOTE: I had my ingrown toenails removed a week and a half before the surgery (they look beautiful too). No photo description available. Shared post Tracy Bygate I had Lapiplasty surgery 5 weeks ago. But I had 4 plates and one staple. I am still in pain and have swelling. Today my doctor said to start walking in my CAM boot and only 25 to 50% weight bearing with no crutches or walker. I honestly can not figure out how to do that. Anyone have any suggestions? I just feel like I can not judge 25-50% weight bearing especially with out an aid. Shared post Linda Walter I was told I will have bandages on for 3 weeks. I will lhave a one weeks check and they will change it. Then a 2 weeks check. I will have a boot after that. Will I be able to get back to work with the boot. I have a sit down job. Just wondering does anyone else dread Spring and summer - I mean I can never find any comfortable, pretty spring/summer footwear other than trainers to hide these bunions. People walking around in flip flops etc with pretty painted toenails and I’m doing all I can to hide mine! Anyone ever find any suitable footwear. Shared post
