Show of hands, would you do it again? I have surgery scheduled for 9/03. I struggled with pain for 6 months this year, however, since June, no pain. I’m really second guessing if I want to do this. I am very nervous and upset that I won’t be able to work out like I’m used to. Anonymous member I'm having MIS next Friday on my left foot. I have help for 3 days. Will that be enough? I already had surgery on my right foot, and I'm 5 weeks into recovery and doing really well. My main concern is whether I'll be ok on my own after 3 days. Ty Pie I think I can kinda relate to what Ariel was going through, because since my MIS bunion surgery, about 8 weeks ago, I have yearned to be a part of the human world again so I could walk, run, and play all day in the sun. I can't quite run, but I can comfortably walk and play in the sun if it isn't over 24°C (75°F). I've hit 4 weeks now and it's going well. I've had one appointment at 3 weeks to remove bandages and the surgeon said see you in 6 months! From week 3-5 I am taping my toes to ensure stability of the big toe. Has anyone else in UK had similar aftercare. I was told by the doctor that recovery is way faster and should be lightly walking right after surgery…. Umm yeah no. The pain is worse than I thought and swelling is horrible. My incision is still bleeding. I only took a week off of work so I’m really nervous I’m not going to heal enough. Has anyone had this surgery and was able to walk a little within a week?
