The orthopedic sandal that they sent me home from surgery in was heavy, and the strap across my forefoot was causing a lot of pain when walking. I got this today and love it! It is lightweight, has a lot of padding under the straps, and causes no pain when walking! And it still does the job of preventing my foot/toe from bending and protecting my foot. Highly recommend it if your ortho sandal is causing discomfort.
