Those of you with hypermobile feet, pretty severe bunins as well as flat feet Help -which procedure did you go with?? I have seen two different Dr's. Both with great reviews.. One is a podiatrist - he recommends lapiplasty. One is a orthopedic foot and ankle dr, he recommends lapidus with akin. The ortho was very upfront and honest, stating that 1 in 5 of these procedures end in the patient unhappy they did it.

Lapiplasty and adductoplasty. Lots of hardware in my foot. Had it done just shy of 2 years ago. My hypermobility has my bunion back to 50% of where it was before surgery. I went from an 80% correction to 50% in 2 years. Gahhhg.

I had a lapidus, second toe repair plus a plantar plate done , I am happy with my results and was done by an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot reconstruction and he was up front with me with my recovery ❤️‍🩹 didn’t sugar coat it at all ! 1 year post op and glad I did it , no more pain at all

I agree wouid not do Lapiplasty, it’s an expensive version of lapidus. Pays doctors more.

Did Lapiplasty with a podiatrist 3.5 weeks ago and no regrets so far 🙂

I went with MIBS for my severe bunion and hypermobile foot, but I don’t have a flat foot. I have to say, though that 20% of the people being unhappy they ever did it it’s very scary!

Go with the podiatrist
