UK folks - I've been advised by my podiatrist never to walk in wellies. I’m going on a boat in a couple of weeks' time and will need to wear them to keep my feet dry, rather than walking a long way. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have some Arctic Muck Boots, but they'll be way too hot for September. I had scarf and akin, plus a second toe joint fusion on my left foot in March. TIA

I’m thinking you don’t want this, but what about waterproof covers for your shoes? They won’t be a fashion statement but your feet will be comfortable and shoes dry.

You could try getting some carbon fiber inserts, which will stiffen the flexible wellies soles

I have insoles inside my wellies which works for me

FitFlop do some that have really thick soles and wide toe box, I’ve not got any but I’ve been debating them for dog walking in the winter. My current ones are Joules and they are good as the zip up the dudes do much easier to get in now my foot isn’t as flexible

My doctor told me the same thing. I work at a farm one day a week where the mud is epic in spring and fall. Would love to hear options.

Thanks everyone! I'll be getting on and off a RIB, so think I'll need the waterproof length of wellies.
