, I’m pretty sure there are quite a few folks (🤔probably thousands😬) who’d absolutely love your OnlyFans acct.🤣 Even with Daisy and Daffy as your sidekicks. 🥴 All jokes aside, you’ve healed wonderfully! I have really enjoyed reading all of your posts/updates. Mainly because of how transparent you have been with your healing journey from the very beginning and a little bit because of the comedic relief I’ve grown accustomed to you providing lol. I am happy to hear that you can now walk without pain 🙌🏾 which is so beautiful and what most of us strive for when choosing to finally have surgery. 4 miles a day is a huge accomplishment!! I am also happy to read that you’re happy with your result! That’s an important part of the overall healing process as well. It definitely takes two in this equation: the surgeon and you as the patient. You both have done a beautiful job! I was a bit nervous shopping for wide toe box shoes at first (last year). Thankfully, although it took some getting used to, I have found them to be more comfortable than “regular” shoes. How are you doing with shopping for and/or wearing wide toe box shoes? Thank you for the update. Continued positive and thorough healing to you.

I'm now about 4 months out from MIS surgery carried out on my right foot... and I fully appreciate that unless I open an OnlyFans account, I have a foot that only I could love! My feet are so flat that Donald and Daisy Duck invited me to their family reunion next summer, and I have something called Morton's toe (or Greek foot) and occasionally when I post, someone tends to mention this...in case I didn't know? But... I'm not looking to grace the front cover of Vogue: Podiatrist Edition. I just want a functional foot so I can walk with my children in the sublime company of Mother Nature... and with my right foot, I have that. Being satisfied with the result, though, is only one part of the equation. I've had to reassess my whole shoe collection as I move into the "wide toe box" world. I'm doing my best to strengthen my feet after listening to Dr. Courtney Conley (among others) and continuing to walk as much as I can. In previous posts I've mentioned that I waited waaaaaay too long before proceeding with bunion surgery... but it's been the best move for me. I'll bet that in your personal life, you've experienced things and wondered if you'd ever make it through the storm? But you're still here, like the 8th wonder of the world. You'll need a large helping of patience, a touch of faith and a spoonful of hope. You can make it through bunion surgery. Take good care of yourselves my friends.

Did you have any corrections done to the flat foot or only bunion surgery? I have very flat feet as well and they are recommending foot/ankle reconstruction along with bunion surgery so the bunions don’t come back, which is very daunting!
Very happy for you!
Congrats! Seeing this gives me a boost of energy, Im hoping to get my surgery in January, I'ver always told people I have my dad's feet so I've never been really happy with my feet look, but I cant wait to see my foot healthy and bunion free no matter the scars!
Main problem for me is I went down an entire shoe size. Hokas are my best friend.
... I think because I allowed the bunion pain to get so bad...no post op sensation can really compare? Shoes are a little tricky because of my remaining bunion but I've just gone up half a size and have a wider width... because I don't want my bunions to return. I'm so glad my journey has been with so many. It's been a real blessing to have friends like you who also share truthfully. How are you doing?
, I can surely understand that. It seems the longer we keep the bunions, the worse they get, structurally and pain-wise. You’re so right about the comparison of pain between having the bunion(s) vs surgical recovery. The surgical pain was definitely easier to deal with as it was only temporary vs permanent. Thankfully, I’m doing great as far as bunion surgery/recovery. No pain at all regarding the excommunicated bunions. Got a few lingering issues with my r-knee and both feet, mine are flat as well. After speaking with and being examined by my PCP, I am gonna have to schedule an appt for imaging to be sure (I’m so nervous). He suspects plantar fasciitis (feet) and likely arthritis (knee). I’m also considering getting a gel-like injection to the knee… eventually, depending on what the images show. That makes me extra nervous. I’ll have to schedule an appt with my podiatrist to discuss custom orthotics. Ugh!
PositiveKiwi9555 I'm no doctor but my podiatrist said that it wasn't just my flat feet but the fact I've never attempted to strengthen the surrounding muscles. So I'm doing things like weighted calf raises and other exercises to help this. I have a final consultation with my surgeon next week so I'll keep you posted.
...thank you so much for your kind words.
...I felt exactly the same (also have my father's feet 😅) but I'm really happy not to have the bump. Good luck to you in January...and I'd also recommend organic coconut oil to help with scars. It will be so worth it!
...I've always had big feet, I'd love to go down a size! 😂 How is it going? Are you healing well?
