Getting wrap off and stitches out was such a relief for me.

Day 12 now post MI bunion hammertoe and metatarsalgia surgery.
Day 12 now post MI bunion hammertoe and metatarsalgia surgery. No real pain just some discomfort in boot. Significant bruising and swelling still which is all normal I know so I’m icing it regularly. I have some back pain on the same right side, I guess due to this constant elevating position when seated. Finally found a boot for the other foot that matches the height of the surgical shoe and that is so much better. Have ventured outside but only shuffled up the road so not far at all. Still quite paranoid of someone knocking my foot/ toe so being sensible. Roll on next 2 weeks for dressing change

Glad to hear you are doing well. It's 2 weeks today for me. Overall the pain has not been too bad. It's the nerve pain I don't like but luckily does not last long. I have been unfortunate to get a horrible blister on the top of my big toe. Like you can't wait for the 4th February when I get my dressing taken off.
Yes the nerve pain is weird isn’t it. Poor you with the blister… I didn’t get one just very swollen. Blisters are best just left to self absorb.. let’s hope we’re celebrating when the dressings come off 👍
I must admit I love looking at how straight my foot looks where my bunion was. Hope it still looks good when the dressing comes off.
Out of interest how much walking are you managing?
Mr Bianchi did my MIS on 6 Jan to bunion only. My toes are still fairly swollen and stiff when I wake but the bruising is lighter today. I can’t say that I’ve had any pain at all since the op which is amazing, it’s just a bit uncomfortable sometimes. I have a largish gap between my big toe and next toe which I hope will close up once the bandaging is removed. Walking is ok around my flat but as yet I’ve only walked a few yards outside to the dustbin! I’m quite nervous about knocking it or tripping up 😩. The next challenge will be getting my trainer on when the dressings come off 🤞.
I have been walking around in the house and been doing some housework but then I rest my foot and sit with it elevated. I know when I have done too much
What the name of the procedure you had for your bunion
Good luck
