Yes you can over stretch and make it worse Many people stretch too hard and too short of time Get a slant board or however you do your calf stretches and once you feel just the first pull,,hold it for at least one full min and give that muscle time to relax and stretch. Increase along the way As far as the facia in the bottom of your foot. Same thing. Don’t be stretching so deeply that you are just adding to micro tears. Stretch till the pull and hold at least a min till you feel it relax and soften. Longer if necessary

Has anyone stopped doing the stretches because it hurt too bad and what else has helped you?
Has anyone stopped doing the stretches because it hurt too bad and what else has helped you? I feel like I've tried everything but the surgery but I struggle to make it through work everyday. I own a restaurant so it's not like I can just take a bunch of time off.

I do not concentrate on stretching my foot much at all, I do try and do some more full body stretches, some toe spreading, some turning my ankle and moving my foot around while seated. I also find the KT tape has been a game changer and will continue using that.
Try taping . I did similar to this…
Massaging my calves 100% helped me. I did the stretches and taping since February, and started massaging my calves 3weeks ago.....I went shopping over the weekend with my "old" shoes. Experienced no pain. Feel so much better. 💃😍
I stopped stretching my Pf last week when i started getting pain while doing that. But yesterday i went back to it. Am stretching it more gently and only 15 second instead of 2 minutes. But would never stop it completely
The one thing I found to significantly help was taping. Gauze then athletic tape snug.
My chiropractor said I never should've been told to do those exercises right away because it worse inflammation. I went to him because I read from a post that acupuncture helped somebody, and when he started acupuncture down my thighs places in my foot, but not the base of the foot. After roughly 9 sessions my feet were 80% better than another. Chiropractor did a couple of dry needling only in the heel because I can't take pain. I'm very sensitive in the middle of my foot and the bottom of my foot. I didn't even wanna imagine with that size needle. And then I had hammertoe surgery and it started to come back only in 1 foot and then gradually went away but right now I would say I'm 90 to 100% better. I will go back and have maintenance appointments with the chiropractor for the acupuncture just to stay on track I would hate for it to come back full-blown.
I was like you got the PRP injections after trying everything else .if you can at all do light stretching don't over do it
this above ⬆️
where do you buy this tape? Does it hurt when you pull it off?
I actually just get it off Amazon. There is a rigid tape (non stretch) and a stretchy tape. I find the stretchy ones work better for me. And I just google videos or written instructions for taping. I find now i usually change the tape based on where the most of the pain is happening on any particular day. Mostly it is my heel but sometimes the side of my foot also has some discomfort.
sorry, i forgot to also say that it does not hurt to take off, but you can soak it a little or I often wait until after my shower to take it off.
😊
Trizeptide is the only thing that has actually helped me. Totally took the inflammation out of my body, I microdose.
what is Trizeptide?

you can get it a lot cheaper at wal mart a 3 pack of athletic tape, I think was 11 bucks or something, same thing
