Hi Everybody! I’m 2 years out of Bunionectomy and my toe is killing me How did you know it was time for hardware to come out. The doc that did the surgery has retired.

I would seek another surgeons opinion with x-rays to see what might be causing the pain before deciding it is only hardware related.

I have been in pain for 2 years because of the hardware. I’m getting hardware removal done in 6 days. By a different surgeon as my surgeon that did my surgery messed up my foot and admitted it. Then told me to get another opinion

I had bunion surgery 2 years ago but my other toes whacked out. Are these claws/hammer toes? What can I do that won’t another foot surgery cuz I’m not going there.

I think it’s worth consulting a podiatrist for assessment and they will likely prescribe an orthotic. Did for me and it helped a lot.
