I'm frustrated. I had MIS bunionenctomy and 2nd metatarsal shortening. In having the 2nd toe shortened, I now have issues with the tendons and has created a hammer toe. The Dr has referred me to start PT next week in hopes that over the next month it can be fixed. If it doesn't I will then have to have ANOTHER surgery correct that. I was not aware this was even a possibility with this part of the surgery.

I’ve been in pain for 2 years since having surgery. Precious surgeon botched my foot(podiatrist) He told me to get a second opinion. I did and now have to get another surgery next month to remove hardware. Pt never helped me

Oh no, sorry to hear this. I have a flexible hammer toe and asked my podiatrist if I should have it corrected along with my bunion and he said in his exact words “it’s not worth it.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had the same surgery 6 weeks ago and have been told to tape that toe until end of August to prevent hammertoe. Just curious if you were doing the same?

BeautifulLizard354 I had a surgeon who not only made my bunion issue worse, but also ended up leaving me with a Taylor's bunion I never had before, and a foot that is so thick it hurts to wear a shoe. That is, if I can even find one that I can stuff my foot into. Obviously there will be more surgery in my future.😔

I had both feet done about 3.5 months ago. My big toes are straight now but I still have the same size bunions. I also now essentially have a tailors bunion on the right that I didn’t have before.
