So the big bandage and boot is off at week 4.
So the big bandage and boot is off at week 4. I had my bunion done and 2nd hammer toe and metatarsalgia surgery. The 2nd toe now needs taping for the next two weeks to bring it back in alignment with the other toes and it will now no longer bend at the first joint which I knew. I’m back in a trainer , walking feels strange trying to put weight through the whole foot and for me it's the 2nd toe that feels so weird whereas the old bunion area is fine but I now need to do my physio and I can’t wait to properly soak and clean my foot. But just look at the difference..all thanks to Mr Bianchi at the private clinic London, I thoroughly recommend him.

Wow what a beautiful job! Your foot looks great! Mine is a big old bunion and I'm looking forward to doing it in a couple years. Best wishes on the rest of your recovery!

Hi Berny, did you tape the bunion after 4 weeks or just wearing the white compression sock in the picture? I am struggling with taping it right

minimally invasive bunion, hammertoe and Metatarsalgia surgery. I presented with a pebble like feeling beneath my 2nd toe so needed all the above corrected. My bunion interestingly never bothered me enough to get surgery but the pebble feeling did as I couldn’t walk comfortably. There’s guarantees it will go but I’m hoping all this was worth it!

can you elaborate on the pebble feeling? Do you mean like a small round bone under the second toe?

I taped it for quite some time as that toe sort of flopped back and my surgeon said I had tape it up in line with other toes. I agree it’s tricky and I’d often retape in the day as it slid on the compression sock
