I had pretty significant pain for 7 days. Then went back to doc cause I felt pain meds were not helping. He put me on anti inflammatory and tramadol and I took Tylenol in between. Turned a corner after that. But first 2 weeks was only knee scooter to bathroom and bed and couch. No weight. Elevated. After stitches out moved to boot and a crutch. Gradually putting weight. After pin was out of toe week 5 turned another corner. Walking in ortho slippers at home and boot during day. Still dealing with swelling in evenings. But elevate always when sitting. It’s slow healing but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Better every week. I’m in week 6.

Told not to put any weight on my foot for d next 4 weeks. So I am trying to walk on my heal To transfer from bed to scooter. Is it norms for me to have so much pain in some days n not in others? Thx

Non weight bearing means no weight. You should be utilizing crutches, a walker (with foot off the ground), a knee scooter, an iWalk, a wheelchair, etc. Unless your surgeon said it was okay to heel walk!
thx
Be sure to elevate most of the time and ice behind the knee until doc says o.k. to ice directly on the foot. Swelling can cause some of the pain. Are you resting enough and drinking lots of fluids? Treat yourself kindly.
March 28 was only two days ago, so yes, pain is normal. It should subside in a few days. If you were told no weight bearing, then you shouldn't be walking on your heel. That's bearing weight.
thx
Zero weight!
