I've had plantar fasciitis off and on for over two years. Saw my podiatrist today and learned I now have developed achilles tendonitis and the beginning stage of a neuroma in this same foot. Anyone else in the same boat? Other than the prescribed meloxicam and stretches, do you have any tips?

I had surgery after 15 YEARS of PF!! Now I’m pain free!!

Night splints... please share pros and cons and if I should be wearing them. Thanks so much.

You don’t need to wear them. They will keep you in pain for longer. There is nothing wrong with your foot being pointed down or up while you sleep. In the morning do the ABCs on your foot and stretch if needed.

Do not wear them Keep a pillow under your ankles to keep from straining feet during sleep. Immediately stretch on side of bed before taking first step.

For those taking magnesium glycinate... what time of day is it best to take it? Any adverse side effects I should expect?

Community comment#6

Seymour I take it before bed. It’s supposed to help your muscles relax. I have had zero side effects. I almost feel like I sleep better when I take it.

Community comment#7

Definitely b4 bed as it helps with sleep and relaxing your body.

Does the injection hurt

would stop icing now anyway as ice for PF isn’t the best way to solve this issue.
