Anyone else have/had a bone spur on their metatarsal?

Anyone else have/had a bone spur on their metatarsal? Ive been dealing with it for over 4 years and I am starting to get sharp shooting pains when I walk in that area. Are the cheaper over the counter recommendations not a safe bet as they would just be from a mailed in foot cast vs. the corrective measures I am thinking the script asks for? More waiting for healing, trying to avoid surgery. FRUSTRATING Tenosynovitis! Tennis shoes for 4 weeks, boot for 5, PT the last two weeks.
