Firstly, I just need to note that I didn't have any issues with my plantar fascia prior to a traumatic partial rupture from an ankle roll in I had at the start of the year. I've had other issues with the foot 18 months prior (posterior tibial tenosynovitis), and imaging I had before and after that showed a normal plantar. I was placed on three weeks of non weight bearing, followed by another 12 weeks part time cam boot (I'm a chef and my physio cleared me to work with rigid May be an image of bone, xray and text Shared post Vincent Hoffman I have been battling PF in both feet since around January 26’. Primary Dr. recommended Spenco inserts that worked for him. Said I’d be over it in a couple weeks. Got them in February. Provided little relief over the next few months. Got referred to a foot guy, wanted over $500 for leg brace/boot, more for inserts, and never sent me therapy information. Found a boot on Amazon for $35. Felt good for 30 minutes at a time, but seem Shared post Seth Zink I don't love going to doctors. They don't always listen, I have to use up sick time at work to go to appointments, I have to pay for the visits, etc. etc So, about 9 months ago I started chatting with Gemini (an a.i.). I told it my age, height, weight, etc and told it I wanted it to act as a podiatrist and physical therapist. I then described all my symptoms and asked for it to give me rehab exercises and stretches I could do to get b Shared post Cynthia Lubenow I've never had foot issues. After about a year of working at Chick Fil A my feet started hurting. I figured it was because I was using cheap Walmart shoes for the past year. I've recently heard it could be peri menopause. I'm 47. My heel hurts into my ankle. I also get radiating pain in my heel, ankle, balls of my feet and sometimes into my calf after a shift at work. I love working there and don't want to quit, but I'm scared it coul Shared post Rebecca Hilliard I’m hoping I don’t have to row back on this but I feel I’ve had a result….I’ve just spent 2+ weeks completely resting. And I mean really resting. I know I’m lucky to have the chance to do that but I’ve been able to do fewer than 500 steps a day. I did the strengthening exercises (plus some for hips/thighs) multiple times a day. I always had an arch support on when walking barefoot (big band of elastic with arch pad). Result: last 3 mo Shared post Kim Usher My lower back went a few weeks ago, probably from walking so funny because of my foot, so I was given some anti-inflammatory painkillers. I have breaks in between taking them, but just wanted to share that whenever they're in my system I don't feel a single niggle from my foot pain. I'm on naproxen and nefopam, no idea which one is helping but one of them is! Shared post Dane Burmester Read This… Your feet have 26 bones in your foot, 19 Intrinsic muscles and approx 20 extrinsic muscles and tendons. Your feet have muscles Shared post Estelle Jacobsen I am doing research on what my next move is. Server plantar fascia since start of year. 8.7mm thickness and a 9mm tear of the plantar fascia. I had to stop work. I have had prp injection, shock wave treatment and cortisone. Nothing worked. I had a mri in march and then in July and there has been no change. As I am not working and have rested it. I can walk around house for a few hours to cook and house work. With no pain. But stil Shared post Pamela Lindeback Not sure who this may help but I’m putting it out there. I started swimming, slowly. It was the only thing I could do to not feel pain in moving. Then I started water aerobics in 4’ of water building an invigorating routine. I have worked up to deep water aerobics and my PF foot and joint pain elsewhere has reduced over 50%.
