Hi everyone! 4 year PF sufferer here… Today marks 6 weeks since I had my plantar fascia embolization procedure (PFE). I waited until now to share my results because I wanted to have more confidence in the level of pain reduction I am experiencing. I have been in excruciating pain for four years. I tried everything. Followed doctors orders to the T-PT, orthotics, shockwave, cortisone shots- this list goes on and on. I made t Bren Loukes A Tad Disappointed!!! I had my two week follow up today where the stitches to my Open Fasciotomy on Aug 11th were to be removed. The doc didn’t feel the healing was ready! Half has healed great but where the curve is - not yet. I need to wear the boot and rest one additional week. I was so excited last night, I didn’t sleep well. Cry, cry, cry me a river! My pain is zero at the incision site. I do have numbness at the bottom of my foot where the heal meets the arch area. The Amber Mower I just joined this group. I don’t actually have a diagnosis (I don’t have insurance) but I’m quite positive PF is causing my pain. I work a desk job but also own a micro bakery. So I sit a lot and stand a lot. I’m seeing a lot of stretching and strengthening in the group and will definitely be working on those. Is there a shoe you would recommend that could help me in the meantime while working on strengthening? Shaneen Lyon Calvo If you’ve plateaued in your healing and can’t seem to stretch out those last little vestiges of PF pain, a percussion massager (I think) did the trick for me. I went almost 2 years with PF that included being “healed” after about a year, only to experience two micro-tears after starting to run again - putting me out for another year.
