I just wanted to share that I purchased this pair of ugg shoes at Going Going Gone (Dicks) for $77 and it is one of the first pairs of shoes in literally years that feels good on my feet!

That’s where I got my Ryka tennis shoes! I love them! I’m going to have to grab a pair of these, these are cute!!
Don’t want to upset you but I was wearing some Dr Martens similar to these and dr went off on one saying I should have lace ups or ankle strap shoes. These are essentially slip ons and my foot will push forward and if I continue to wear them my bunion could return. I have 5 pairs of them!! Gutted. 😭
Yeah, flipflops, mules, and any sandal without a heel strap cause us to claw and grip with our toes to keep the footwear on. Toe gripping causes bunions, plantar fasciitis, and hammertoes. Footwear needs to be secured to our feet to prevent bunions and to prevent the worsening of bunions. I have also discarded so many shoes Joe! I had so many that I determined are too pointy in the toe box too. I’ve been learning that we need wide toe box footwear that is secured to our feet. And actually wearing shoes that fit that description have helped me beyond what I imagined possible 👍
From reading what people are saying above, I wouldn’t toss them out if they feel good tbh. It looks like you could possibly move the strap to your heel instead? Otherwise, wear them in moderation? Also, it feels like if they were bad for your bunion area they wouldn’t feel so nice- you know what I mean? I think they are super cute and comfy looking!
Yeah I’ve been wondering about that strap too Ashley, it looks like it might flip back to be worn as a heel strap which is probably a better way to wear the shoes. Regarding what feels nice, most of us have been conditioned to wear footwear that bunches our toes since we were very young- it’s the normal to see footwear that directs the big toe toward centre so a lot of us have bad instincts about what seems to be somewhat comfortable because we’ve become accustomed to narrow toe boxes in footwear. From what I’m reading and seeing from experts is that footwear that is straight along the inside of the shoe from the heel to the tip of the big toe is what is best. It took me months of reading and listening to experts in videos before I bought my first pair of Altra Running Shoes- it’s so obvious and logical to see that the toe splay space is better but it took me months to be convinced to try them. I wish somebody had told me sooner, it could have saved me years of foot troubles. And it’s baffling as to why the tapered toed shape is the normal when we are born with pizza slice shaped feet right? 🍕🍕
