I’m 7 weeks and day three of walking in my air boot. The heel of my foot and bottom of foot hurt the most when I walk. It feels like I have plantar fasciitis. Is this what others feel when they first start walking in the air boot. I had the Lapidus procedure.

Yes I got into an air cast at 7 weeks, had lapidus, second toe claw toe, plantar plate repair and I definitely felt it in my heel, ankle .. I used crutches at first for a few days and made sure I was wearing the same heel size on the non surgical foot.. Then gradually went to one crutch, then none.. When I went out though I used a cane for awhile … ..Still rested through out the day and took the boot off ..

Yes. I solved the problem by putting an insole from a running shoe in the boot.
