Reporting back on softwave therapy progress & on surviving Disney today. After my last trip to the podiatrist, I left with a boot to rest my foot in, and paperwork for a handicap placard. Doctor said that if my fascia didn’t heal, the last resort was surgery. Having just recovered from another surgery, I wanted to try anything else I could first. I started softwave therapy at a chiropractic office, and am seeing about a 50% reduction of pain after doing 3 of 14 treatments. It HURT after the first visit, but I also had brief bouts of it feeling better, with a significant reduction in pain about 3 days after every treatment. What the technician explained was that sound waves break down tissue and this sends stem cells to the area. Other things I’m using that help: -Relief Day Patch - Arnica, White Willow Bark, Saffron & Peppermint for Soreness and discomfort for Women and Men https://www.amazon.com/.../ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_TWte1AY2O7UCd -taping over the pain patch (Bob and Brad method) -stretching, almost obsessively -Oofos zen (these have worked better for my feet than medical grade orthotics, several Amazon orthotics, and expensive inserts from the running store). I wear the slide on oofos in the house and the one pair I didn’t like from their website were easy to return. I suspect they are doing something because I feel more of a stretch on my most painful foot. -Being attuned to when I need to rest. We got a wheelchair for today and with the tape, socks, supportive shoes and inserts, I was able to walk for about half of the 12 hours we were at Disney (or about 3 miles) with differing but bearable pain levels. It felt pretty miraculous considering how limited I was this time last month. Best of luck to everyone out there and hope for your healing—in whatever form that takes for you.

I agree, I with same issue did my research and 95 percent better with chiropractor I go 2x a week for 3 months , I’m on 9 weeks in and I can walk thanking GOD , he uses the shock wave therapy and tech explained it the same, along with other technics, I do use orthotics and all my new sandals are plantar fichittis approved , I also use pure Castor oil on my feet day n night !! And every now and then put my feet in in water with Epson salt, I do have a round massage gun that I use as well , Good luck everyone!! Oh yeah and uses the frozen bottle in the beginning FAITHFULLY!!

I’m finding it helpful but still in the process/dealing with some pain. I was supposed to make some headway at a NAET clinic, but still have work to do.

yes! I got it from my podiatrist. They have paperwork in office that you can take to AAA or the dmv.

Here to update. Today did my 7th day of softwave treatment, went swimming after (nothing too intense on my feet but worked out my arms and got blood flowing). I feel like today is one of the best days yet as far as lowered pain post-treatment. The last couple of sessions, the practitioner has been able to move beyond my heel to target the fascia in my arch and I’d recommend including that area if you do soft-wave. Also started seeing my NAET practitioner specifically for the plantar pain, and they identified a couple of things that have been contributing to the inflammation. Have noticed a big difference after a couple of sessions there. One was a food I’ve been eating a lot of that I unknowingly had an inflammatory response to (beef, weirdly), and another that we are going to treat for is the materials used in shoes and insoles. It’s really fascinating how much that has helped. Woke up after the mornings after the NAET treatments feeling better than I have in so long, (and ya’ll know how weird it is to wake up in the morning without intense pain). I cried grateful tears on my way to a dr appointment in the car the morning after the first treatment because I couldn’t remember the last time that had happened. Have had it flare at times, and then increase later in the day after activity, but the pain is nothing like it was. Going to keep doing both. 🤞

Full time job isnt it? Glad youre improving. For the softwave therapy, how much does that cost and is your insurance paying for it? 14 treatments that seems alot, is that typical what is needed? Thanks for sharing

I was gonna ask this to my doctor gave me seven sessions for $1000 but he’s also doing the Remi laser as well. He says he threw that in for free I think it’s crazy! 🤪 i’m on session. I think four I’m seeing a little bit of a difference. I’ve also started wearing Birkenstocks. I think that helps a lot. I have high arches.
