This is it. This is the only thing that makes my feet feel better. No Oofos. No Hokas. No Powerstep Insoles. No Brooks. No Vionics. No Dr. Schools. My shoe collection is massive. But this pair from Walmart is IT. I know I posted about them before Im sorry, but I cant wear these to work. Theyre hideous. Birkenstocks ALMOST get me there but I feel instant relief when I put these on from my Birkenstocks. Is it the deep heel cup with support on the sides? I dont get it but I need it in every shoe form!!! ETA im the one who posted about them before. Theyre Avia slides from Walmart but no longer available. Its specifically the heel that I think is the difference!

Yes that one helps my plantar too. It was markdown when I bought it. It was $3 when I bought it. I bought OOFOS too it didn’t work . I would like to buy more

I have Hokas, Oofas, Vionics, and I have these too. They support my feet well. I look for them every season. I think I hoard them. I use them for house slippers. Edit: Avía recovery slides at Walmart. About $14 regular price.

Currently wearing these and they are the only thing that is working right now. Got at Walmart. Someone called me white shoe Stephanie the other day as a joke, but if it doesn’t hurt my feet, I don’t care what they look like lol

You have to have the support that’s in the middle of the shoe that arch support and cushioning sole helps but most importantly you have to have the arch support

I have 3 pairs of these and I agree they help! I rotate these between my sneakers with insoles and Birkenstocks. They are currently on clearance for $3 at my local Walmart but only the purple color is left.

I like that the second i put these on. My heel pain goes away. I stand for 13+hrs a day and recently started walking for exercise. still had pain with hokas so decided to try these. Not the coolest looking sneaker but they feel great

Interesting because I bought a pair of unworn avia rubber Birkenstock looking shoes at a thriftstore… I too felt almost immediate relief… I’d guess 70% better! They appear very round toed and resemble a hard rubber Birkenstock

I have those from walmart as well. Very comfortable. I can do squats and lift weights, in these at home. I found the new balance 680 work best for working out, and the new balance 1080 works for me. Working on my feet all day!

Think of the heel of your slides like a bucket seat in your car. When you sit in your seat, you’re more anchored in place because you’re IN the seat rather than ON the seat like an old school truck’s bench seat where you shift and slide with the turns because the seat is flat. Same thing with your feet. The heel bone is the largest bone in the foot and it also needs to be anchored in place. The foot bed of your flip flop appears to have more depth to them and that might be the deciding factor for why your feet feel better while wearing them. Your heel is resting more IN the heel counter rather than ON it or OVER it. And that helps to provide the overall relief and comfort your feet have been seeking. Since this style is limited now, you might want to explore the EVA foam Birkenstock line up. They’re built with a deeper heel counter and a responsive feel under the foot. Not as rigid and stiff like the original Birkenstock leather styles, but still supportive. From all of my experience spanning 3 decades of doing medical fittings for shoes and inserts, stick with what you’ve figured out works for you! Everybody’s feet, sensitivities, and preferences are so different! What works for one doesn’t always work for another.

I have 6 pairs 2 white 2 black a lilac and a light blue. Paid $16 dollar a pair. BEST slides!! Has great support and deep heel. I’ve been wearing them for the last 4 months. My PF was only in the R heel and now almost completely gone. I do toe exercises, take large dose of turmeric, stay hydrated, sometime wear a boot to bed, and use toe spacers.

I'm pretty sure it's these Avia slides. Excuse the stains. I only use them to mow my grass and do yard work and they get stained pretty easily. They run big. I usually wear an 8 and 1/2 or 9 and I have an 8 in these. I can't wear for very long because the sides start to bother me. And I have a narrow foot. So for somebody with a wide foot they would probably not be good. I have some pairs of two strap slides that I wear most of the time that haven't even deeper heel cup and also has arch support and formed more to your foot towards your toes. Both of these shoes were only available through the summer in the store. I grabbed a couple of pairs when they went on clearance. Maybe you can still find them online though. I'll post a picture of the other ones too.

These are one of the Walmart branded shoes I think they might have been Time and Tru, but I'm not sure. These run more true to size. That only come in full sizes no half sizes.

thanks for showing that but I don't think I could wear either one of them because I had a ripped tendon and I had surgery on that 2 years ago and then I've developed plantar fasciitis and the only thing I can live in is sneakers with Orthotics

I'm sure they're not for everybody. I can't wear sneakers because I have a high instep. The side of the tongues always dig into a nerve or something that runs along the top of my foot. It's very painful. So the trainers that everybody mentions, just will not work for me. I did find some Reebok's the other day at one of the discount stores, that actually had a wider toe box and had two velcro straps across the top. They also have arch support. They have a very narrow heel, which is good for me, but it wouldn't work for a lot of people. So, I'm sure that's why they ended up being discontinued.

they healed my PF. Someone posted here and bought a pair. After a few days of using them I bought 5 more. I also have every hoka, brooks etc recommend for PF.

Here are the ones I wear that wrap around the heel like that. They are currently my most comfortable right now and I have no pain.

I tried it with the moments based on the heel info , because I was wearing flip flops around the house and in winter and I think that’s what caused my problems. I can say I like the moments so I’m going to try the sneakers next maybe the Atom 2. that’s cool, I really liked mine when I received them, didn’t no what to expect but mine helped me too. I still went to podiatrist and eventually got the cortisone shot on top of the splint, inflammation pills and icing it. It all helped. Did you get any of their shoes?

I got the trail runners. They do feel good with my heel, etc but I also have wide feet and they don’t make wide. So I wear them when I do dog agility to prevent slipping on grass. But then take them right off and wear my slides.

that’s what happens when you find a shoe that works. I found the perfect sketcher arch support and poof it’s gone. Never to be seen again. That happens to me with my bras as well. 🤣

Sometimes you can go to the Google search bar and there is a small camera out beside the search bar. You can use that camera to take a picture of any item (even without tags or where you bought it or anything and Google will tell you what it is and where to find it.

Shoes matter less when your feet and whole body move freely and fluidly. Improve mechanics to reduce dependency on shoes & inserts
