Meet Mister Kelley!

Meet Mister Kelley! My husband and I found Mister Kelley while we were out on a Pelotonia training ride on TJ Evans Trail in Granville. We heard loud meows coming from a bridge by the road, and out popped this friendly little guy asking for help. We couldn’t catch him that day, so we came back several times over the next 24 hours. After a few trips where we couldn’t find him, he finally appeared again—and this time we were able to bring him to safety. We checked to make sure he didn’t belong to anyone, unfortunately not microchipped and we also talked to a homeowner who did not recognize him. He was likely dumped. Mister Kelley is an 8-year-old neutered cat with the sweetest personality. He is one of the most affectionate cats we’ve ever met and absolutely loves people. He did test FIV positive, but our veterinarian reassured us that cats with FIV can live long, healthy, happy lives. His skin issues are most likely the result of a flea allergy, and after just one week of treatment, he’s already looking and feeling much better. Mister Kelley is now available for adoption! My husband and I know how stretched the LCHS and rescues are, so we are independently adopting him out. He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and ready to find a loving indoor home where he can spend the rest of his life being loved.
